Lighting

Of course, no case mod is complete without lighting!

"The baseplate of the playing field consists of an acrylic glass plate (frosted glass) with 30% luminescence, which is installed onto a timber frame. In the cavity under the frame, I installed two green cold cathodes for lighting."

These cathodes are independent of a set of blue LEDs which were installed in the stand for another two-tone lighting effect, continuing the theme.

The playing field lines are on a transparent adhesive film.

Top housing

The acrylic box that houses the football pitch is a fairly simple creation, being a few sheets of acrylic stuck together. "Pay attention though," says our man. "If you use too much glue, you'll ruin the look of the acrylic!"

To attach, the box was screwed into the timber frame on top of the case, from the side.
